Kathy Delumpa Allegri studied art at the University of California, Davis and Santa Cruz, and received a Bachelor of Science in Art at Colorado State University, Pueblo. She is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and has been a painting instructor since 1992.
A native of the Philippines, she developed a heritage series that celebrates longing, love, courage and redeemed cultural identity. She is a member of Teatro Bagong Silangan (Theatre of the New East), which promotes Filipinism through the performing, visual and literary arts.
Kathy is also an accomplished muralist. She created an historic interior mural (27' x 11') which reveals life along Oregon's Sandy River, as Meriwether Lewis and William Clark may have encountered it when they explored the Columbia River in April 1806. This work is featured in Troutdale Hall in the Troutdale, OR Historical Society's Lewis and Clark exhibit.
Kathy's paintings are displayed in civic, corporate and private collections in the mainland U.S. and Hawaii, as well as in Europe and Asia. Her work is featured in select galleries in the Northwest. |
